      <image:caption>Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Kansas. She joined the staff at Children's Therapy Group under the direction of Sue Young, OTD, OTR/L FAOTA with whom Sarah has enjoyed a career-long mentoring relationship. In 1991, she and six other women became the Board of Directors for the not-for-profit clinic specializing in sensory integration therapy. Sarah led the clinic up until its collaboration with PossAbilities in April 2018. She is now the Program Director at PossAbilities Children's Therapy Group. Sarah is passionate about working with families, helping children grow and change, and promoting knowledge about Sensory Processing Disorder. She is certified in both Integrated Listening Systems (iLs) and Therapeutic Listening®. She is also certified in the administration and interpretation of the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT). With over 33 years in the clinic setting, she has extensive experience and training specializing in sensory integrative therapy. She has treated a wide range of children with diagnoses including Sensory Processing Disorder, Dyspraxia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, motor coordination delays, various syndromes, and developmental disabilities. She also has advanced training in Handwriting Without Tears. Sarah frequently provides consultation and training to area preschools and schools and also lectures about sensory processing to a variety of organizations and groups. At home, Sarah enjoys reading, learning, music, gardening, playing board games, and spending time with her family which includes two adult boys and a wonderful partner of over 35 years, Jerry.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Dawn specializes in working with children who have cerebral palsy, brachial plexus injuries, Down's Syndrome, developmental delays, spinal muscular atrophy, spina-bifida, upper extremity injuries and anomalies, sensory processing disorder, and visual-motor integration dysfunction. Before coming to Kansas City, she held several positions in the Tulsa, Oklahoma metro area, including Therapeutic Equipment Clinical Coordinator at Progressive Therapeutic Technology, staff therapist for the Early Intervention Program, Sooner Start, and various public and private school systems. She is certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (8-week certification course) and Rock Tape Kinesiology Taping. Her advanced training is in wheelchair customization and modifications, oral motor treatment, hand splinting for functional performance, electrical stimulation treatment following muscular Botox (TENS unit), myofascial release and scar tissue release, joint mobilization, cranial-sacral therapy, sensory integration treatment, and constraint-induced hand therapy.  Dawn brought her expertise to PossAbilities in 2014. In addition to her direct therapy experience, Dawn taught a pediatric course at Tulsa Junior College and high school Biology and Anatomy classes through homeschool COOP organizations. She has 4 adult sons, a daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter. Dawn’s experiences and training are well-suited to PossAbilities’ vision and commitment to helping parents with the training and tools they need to assist their own children in the home.  Dawn is also the founder of Mane Motions Therapy Foundation; a non-profit organization that provides mobile, therapeutic, mechanical horse riding to local and rural communities for children unable to access actual horse therapy. She offers this service to the children served at PossAbilities in the clinic setting as well.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Jean founded PossAbilities Pediatric Therapy in 2004 in pursuit of a dream to offer high-quality therapy services in a state-of-the-art clinic. In 2013, along with her architect husband, they designed an indoor and outdoor therapy clinic in a free-standing building in Merriam, Kansas. Jean's educational background includes specialized training and certifications in Neuro-Developmental Training (8-week NDT course) Level 1 one-week mentorship and Community of Learning Program (conducted by the Star Center and SPD Foundation), S.O.S. (Sensory Oral Sequential) Feeding Approach Integrated Listening Systems, Safe and Sound Protocol, Rhythmic Movement Training, Interactive Metronome and Zones of Regulation. Additionally, Jean has advanced training in Handwriting Without Tears, sensory processing, reflex integration, postural core development, fine motor development therapy, therapeutic intervention for children with visual impairment, and treatment for children with autism spectrum disorder. Her work experiences have been across private and public schools, home-based therapy, and outpatient clinics in the U.S. and while on short-term medical mission trips to Guatemala. Jean is passionate about the role of parents in the therapy and education of their children and has helped countless families navigate the raising and teaching of children with learning challenges. She has had opportunities to speak and write on numerous therapy topics, including an article for HSLDA's quarterly publication Court Report, a book - Walks on the Wildside: A Guide to Creatively Promoting Motor Skills in Children, and was a contributing author for the book Christian Homes and Special Kids. Jean lives in Prairie Village with her husband of 39 years and has 2 adult children and 4 grandchildren. Jean is currently the special needs coordinator for Midwest Parent Educators.</image:caption>

She is trained in the SOS (sequential oral sensory) Feeding Approach for Picky Eaters and Problem Feeders and loves working with kids to increase their feeding skills. She also specializes in sensory processing disorder, visual impairments, and enjoys treating kids in the pool with aquatic therapy.  Becca has four children who are all back in school after a couple of years of being homeschooled. They stay pretty busy with gymnastics, cheerleading, cross country, and competitive baseball. In her spare time, she likes to run or exercise, cook, travel, and be outdoors. She is also really involved in her church where her husband is a campus-ministries pastor.</image:caption>

Parkville Nature Sanctuary (Parkville, MO)- 115-acre nature sanctuary with about 3 miles of trails. .9-mile Old Kate Trail, which is a loop that travels along the valley floor and is very toddler-friendly and relatively flat If you want something longer, add on White Tail Trail for another 1.5-mile loop with a bit of an uphill climb. There is an exploration area for kids with nature play elements.   Kill Creek Park (Olathe, KS)- Beautiful park with lake, paved and dirt trails, and playground.  Black Hoof Park (Lenexa, KS)- 31-acre park surrounding Lake Lenexa. The park offers several miles of paved and dirt trails. There are a few parks, featuring natural play areas and play stream in the summer. Be sure to check out the dam and spillway. Recommend parking by the Oak Shelter located by the North Entrance off 90th street.  Burr Oak Woods (Blue Springs, MO)- 1,071-acres of trails, woodlands, and prairies to explore. Nature Center is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Be sure to check out the large limestone boulders and outcroppings along the Bethany trail.   Ernie Miller Park and Nature Sanctuary (Olathe, KS)-  116-acre park, consists of a diverse range of habitats such as tallgrass prairie, upland meadows, bottomland forest, and a beautiful stream to explore. Three miles of nature trails, including a self-guided 1/4 mile accessible nature trail. Pets and bikes prohibited on trails. Nature Center open Monday through Saturday 9am – 5 pm and Sunday from 1pm to 5pm.  Cave Spring Park (Raytown, MO)- 4.5 miles of winding trails. Lots of unique things to explore, including a small cave, cascades, and ruins of cabins. There is a small, paved trail, but primarily dirt trails. Kids play area.  Big Bull Creek Park (Edgerton, KS)- Nature-based play area, sprayground, ¾ mile paved trail and dirt trails to explore.  Lakeside Nature Sanctuary (Kansas City, MO)- Free and open to the public 9am-4pm, Tuesday- Sunday.  Antioch Park (Merriam, KS)- Historic Dodgetown playground and two other playgrounds. Combination of paved trails and dirt trails. Look for turtles and frogs in the lake. Explore the rose garden in the summer.  Wilder Bluff Park (Shawnee, KS)- 40 acres of parkland with a unique treetop canopy playground, hillside slide and a natural themed sprayground. Sprayground hours are 10am-7pm. The park has a 1.38-mile trail.  Leawood City Park (Leawood, KS)- Inclusive playground and paved, shaded trails on both the Tomahawk Greenway Trail and the Indian Creek Greenway Trail.  Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead (Overland Park, Kansas)- Visit more than 250 animals and birds, learn about growing flowers and vegetables, experience a Kanza Indian encampment or a one-room schoolhouse, and take a stroll through main street to the fishing pond. Open daily, 9am-5pm, April 1 through October 31st. Admission is $3 per person, ages 3 and older. Admission is free for all guests after 2 p.m., Monday through Thursday, except on holidays. The Farmstead hosts two free admission weekends each season. In 2022, free admission weekends will be June 4 and 5 and August 6 and 7. Lake Olathe (Olathe, KS)- Sprayground is great to visit in the summer. Hours are 10am-8pm, but nearby stream can be played in earlier. There is also nature playground located by the Beaver shelter and paved trails around the lake.</image:caption>
