Bethany earned her Master of Occupational Therapy at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where she gained clinical experience working with adults with developmental disabilities and infant-preschool aged children with visual impairments. There, she also completed the LEND program (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities), which provides interdisciplinary leadership training. She has been providing occupational therapy services in pediatrics since 2017. Bethany is passionate about using a play-based, family-centered approach and loves working with kids and their families to find joy and reach their goals. Bethany has completed the STAR Institute’s Advanced Level I Mentorship and subsequent Sensory Processing Proficiency Certification for evaluating and treating children with Sensory Processing Disorder. She also has specialized training in providing occupational therapy services utilizing hippotherapy from the American Hippotherapy Association and in feeding therapy using the SOS Approach to feeding. Outside of work, Bethany enjoys raising her kids, spending time outside, reading, playing music, participating in her church community, and spending time with family and friends.
